The Greenstation certification programs solves many of the environmental challenges associated with the property maintenance industry. Our certification educates and trains home & business owners, local gardeners, landscape maintenance companies, HOA'S and municipalities to take a more community friendly approach to property maintenance.
The Greenstation tackles air pollution and encourages the use of gas powered alternative equipment. Cordless & corded electric outdoor lawn and garden options, manual & gear driven, as well as good old fashioned hand tools should be used where ever it makes sense to do so. We understand that alternative gas powered equipment is not appropriate for all situations. However, we can all make an effort to find a place for The Greenstation's approach to outdoor lawn and garden maintenance.
In an effort to improve the quality of life in residential areas throughout cities and communities in the state of California and the USA, The Greenstation has created The Greenstation Residential Green Zone Initiative. Property owners or renters who wish to take a more sustainable and intelligent approach to property maintenance will have an opportunity to consider cleaner and quieter equipment options for their property maintenance needs.
The initiative involves training, equipping and certifying property owners or renters with cordless electric equipment that they—or their gardeners—can use instead of gas powered property maintenance equipment.
Elimination of cross contamination of foreign grass species from gardeners other accounts is also a benefit of this program. The Green Zone Initiative will also reduce consumption and dependency on gasoline and oil, saving gardeners and homeowners money on rising fuel and oil costs.
The Greenstation estimates that at least seven (7) out of ten (10) single family homeowners and renters in Southern California employ gardeners who use gas powered equipment to service their properties. There are also tens of thousands of multi unit properties that are suitable for The Green Zone Initiative. These properties are usually serviced by gardeners who use gas powered equipment.
There are tens of thousands of property owners that do not own lawn equipment of any kind. Subsequently, their gardener’s equipment becomes the equipment property owners and renters use to service their properties. The Greenstation is currently and successfully certifying homeowners and gardeners with this initiative providing them with education, training, and quality equipment packages.
